    Sigma ART 24-105

So I've never had any luck with Sigma lenses, but I guess I'm going to try this one. The price point is right. I have the 24-105L now, but corner sharpness is really lacking on this lens, and I'm not sure I want to pony up for the 24-70 2.8II even though it's an absolutely amazing lens. If I can get a solid improvement over my Canon lens for $900, Sigma might convince me to try them for some other lenses in the future.

What's the price? Because I got my Canon 24-105 for $800 new (kit split). And it is my go to landscape lens. Ever seen Adam Barker's images? The 24-105 is one of his go to.

$900 new. The 24-105 is really a great lens for the price, and a great all around lens, but last year I purchased a Zeiss 21mm and then this year I got to borrow a new 24-70 2.8II for a few trips, and ever since then the 24-105L just doesn't cut it. The corner sharpness on both of those lenses is just amazing. Another thing I like about both of those lenses is the 82mm front element, which eliminates vignetting with all the filters I use.

Once I get a full frame again, and if the price comes down to $600-700, then I'd probably pick this over the Canon version. However, if it sticks around $900, then I'd rather get a lightly used Canon for $600 and pocket the difference.
