Breck did not suck today (but my naxos did)

It was a wondererfully undereported pow day at breck. I must be 12 inches tall, because the 3 inches was gettin knee to waist deep in the right places.

only got one photo off before my camera died because I forgot to charge it

    Jerimiah rockin the teleboard:

    - definetly does not do the snow justice

After many goods were gotten, the fateful decision was made to hike the peak 9 chutes.

Dropped in giggling like a schoolgirl. Made some nice turns then decided to point it (bad decision). For some reason people were waiving their arms at me. That nice pow was barely concealing a beachball sized rock. Hit it dead on and did a double eject kamakaze. Onlookes said they thought I was going to die. Was looking at a facefull of more rocks whwn I put my hand down, did a handspring and landed on a hard flat rock. Couldnt breath for 20 secs or so -terrifying. Now I can barely move the hand that was put down.

To add insult to stpuidity, my naxos did the classic toe piece destructo. It was a long slog back down in my boots. Hopfully they will be warrantied, otherwise, freerides are lookin better and better. Amazingly, no core shots- lots of qality time with the ptex candle though

    Lessons learned:
Typing with one hand is hard
People are right, naxos are fragile, even with a light skier
always charge the camera on a pow day
    Armadas have bomber bases

    That is all

AKPM could help you out with that. He seems to be an expert.

You'll break Freerides just the same. Better luck next time! Thanks for the photos.

Nice job. You even made Lou Dawson's daily blog. www.wildsnow.com

    Couple things:

1.) So the toe piece blew up just from the ejection or did the toe piece actually hit the rock?

2.) Where did you see these people waving there arms in the Peak 9 chutes? How could you be looking at them if you were straightlining?

No, the toe piece did not hit the rock- it just broke releasing.

The people were on the flat at the bottom of the chute- impossible not to see them.

And for the record, I was NOT straightlining the whole chute- just the bottom 1/4.

From his blog, it appears Lou is a pretty frequent lurker here. He's harvested quite a few quotes from us.
