    Teton Valley Community School?

I've been teaching in Colorado now for the past 13 years and am looking to get into the Tetons. Victor/Driggs area is my preference. I know it's not the time to be looking for teaching jobs but, my wife and I are looking now for a potential move next spring/summer.

Does anyone know much about the TVC-School? From their web site it looks like a great school with an experiential ed philosophy.

Any beta appreciated on that school and nearby elementary schools. The majority of my experience is in 4th grade.

If you cag get something with the CS, you would be psyched! Don't know/doubt they are hiring though. You do NOT want to work for the Idaho school system, I can tell you that straight up. Truly awful here, from the culture o the standards. Alta school would be the way to go, (wy), but it is extremely competitive. A good friend of mine worked at Wilson Elementary with top references, and it took eight years before a job opened in Alta... Good luck!

Well a friend of mine with "top references" got a job in Alta last year on the first shot. She and her husband moved from CO. So I guess luck is a big part of it. I was a little surprised by the strong hold the good 'ol boy, Mormon, agriculture based network has on life in the Teton Valley. It just goes to show, we from Colorado have no idea what conservative rednecks really are.
