    Wide base SS cogs

Any recommendation for singlespeed cogs that have a wide base? (i.e. won't dig into an aluminum freehub)

Some that I found with The Google:

    On-One $20:

    Surly $30:

Are they all about the same? I'd like a 20T, steel cog. (I'm using a 20T now on this SS bike, but want to swap out the wheels for a much lighter set that I have laying around.)

I've ordered some by Endless Bike Company (you can get them on BTI) for a few people and they're really wide. I think they're about $40 msrp, but they come in a bunch of colors and sizes.

The On-one cogs are pretty decent at a good price, CK makes a baller one I think

Worth it for King if its a gear you'll use often. Been running 18 and 19 tooth CKs for several years of heavy riding/racing with barely any wear. Also have run some cheaper cogs w/ success for brief periods; Origin 8 is cheap and pretty wide base also.

I've run these on some dirtjumpers with aluminum cassette bodies. They don't bite into them. You can't tell in the pic but there's a few mm of extra material on one side to disperse the load. They say 7mm width vs. 4mm for that on one version you linked.

Homebrewed Components makes cogs with aluminum carriers and ti/stainless rings that are light and have amazing durability. Expensive, but not if you're talking Chris King. Unfortunately a brief search on MTBR shows he's basically jumped the shark and quit coming through on his orders. Anyone know if anyone else has stepped in with similar design and build quality?

If you had any use for an 18 toother, I have a NIP Chris King I could sell.

That looks nice, and price is better (cheaper) than King & the blingy ones -- but I can't find if they make one with more teeth than 18T. I like my 20T cog; works well for me with a 32T chainring on a 29er, and I don't want to go to a taller gear.
