Is anyone hiking BC this weekend that wouldn't mind me tagging along? I'm on a split board and I'm not rando racer fast, but not slow either. I am Avy 2 certified. I like trees, chutes, steep stuff. I know my way around, most the stuff out at Carson pass, west shore, and Rose. Looking for ski/ riding peeps to hike with.

well it looks like my season has come to an early close. built a kicker out at elephant back yesterday and landing wrong after over rotating a backflip resulted in a tibial plateau fracture of my left leg. i'll have a proper tr including including the grueling way out as soon as i get some painkillers and then some sleep
    from an earlier succesful jump

ashley was unscathed. good thing too, cause without her i'd still be back there

I have an old pair of EP pro's you can use till you get some new sticks, but they might be to soft for skinning.

PD I have not meet you in person but only know of you through Matt C. Looks like you will be meeting my wife soon if you do any PT at Barton.. Heal up soon. Could be a 6-8 week non weight bearing + recovery / rehab. She is a great Physical therapist. Helped me through my ACL/MCL grade 3 tear, Shoulder surgery and most recently a grade 3 separated shoulder. If Nacho needs a play date to get out send me a PM as my dog is getting older and doesn't do so well on extended outings.

    Get better soon.

    Get well soon,pd.

Use a electro stim machine at very high intensity on your quads and glutes while you're non weight bearing.
I did this and actually gained muscle mass, instead of losing a bunch.

Ouch. Hopefully no major soft tissue damage to go with?

    Heal quickly and well.

Powdork, very sorry to hear that. Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery. This thread will suffer without your steady supply of stoke.

    Yep.

Slam that PT when you can, powdork. You'll be back climbing, and patch skiing with Dookey and Vets, before you know it.

My bet if you combine that with the Electro stem, your recovery will be much faster, install a web cam and you can probably make money off the whole deal.

Is that how you hurt your wrist last season? Be careful. You'll want to be able to use two poles once you start skinning again.

You guys are all awesome! thanks for the generosity and the help...should be out there again soon. May be getting a hookup through the shop I had them mounted at, since they drilled through an old hole and swiss cheesed my ski pretty badly (the guys at the alpine meadows tuning shop wouldn't touch it), but fingers crossed.

Also, heal up PowDork. we will miss your stoke in this thread!

Highly recommend painkiller sex with a partner. You are suppose to resting and not risking any further injury.

Hopefully, you will have a speedy recovery. If you Dr think it would help, I have an ultra sound bone growth stimulator from breaking my leg. You might ask about it. It seems like snake oil, but they are suppose to reduce recover time by 1/3.
