I tried searching for an answer, but nothing particularly relevant was returned.
I have a goretex shell with a semi-hard plastic visor bonded to the fabric of the hood. The plastic has become creased in a couple places after being stuck in a my pack a bunch of times, and I find this annoying when wearing the hood by itself, as it partially obstructs my vision. I figure heating the visor with an iron might release these creases, but I'm concerned that the heat might also cause the adhesive to become unbonded and mess up the hood. Does anyone have an idea as to what the heat tolerances in the adhesives used for outerwear applications? Thanks for any help.
