I didn't know they named a move after you: the double dummy.

Was at a friend's farm for the weekend - watched the Germany match on the AppleTV ESPN app. Holy shit I felt awful for Schweinsteiger when he screwed the pooch on his chance to seal the win in PKs, but damn you gotta love having Neuer on your team bailing you out. There was much screaming by my daughter and myself.

Missed the 1st half of Iceland/France. Nice of the Nords to never quit and play hard in the 2nd half. Fun stuff. Germany vs. France should be a hoot on Thursday.

Lol.. You should be grateful... Me insulting you like that is like Spain holding the ball against Lichtenstein instead of winning 30-0.

Speaking of Spain, how awesome would it be if Messi joined the national team?

Bummer for Wales today. One of their former national team guys described it as a game too far, which seems right. Apparently they're the smallest nation by population to ever reach a Euro Cup final. Also the first UK team since England lost to Germany in the semis in 96.

Looking forward to World Cup qualifiers.

    Ha ha...

In case anyone is wondering what Battiston Philippe is talking about:

Going to be quite the semi final. I like France with the home field advantage and renewed spirit. Philippe, are you going to be there?!

Holy shit. That was a dirty play by Schumacher. The ref didn't even call a foul.

It was just a little assault.... with intent to kill. The ref should have been hung. Created some serious international tensions.

But France came back to win the euro cup two years later.

I don't know who to root for. I am almost half German, but my heart says France.

    My call: France 2-1

I predict the Germans win - I'll say 3-1 with the 3rd coming late in the game on a counter as France throws everything at them to equalize. Muller will score, finally.

At the lake with no TV so just reading updates on phone - was the decision as poor as they're writing???

It was a clear penalty which seemed to deflate the Germans for the second half. I was hoping they would have recovered better and controlled more like they did in the first half. France tightened and definitely won the match. It was my favorite game of the tournament.

Germans looked like shit from the 10:00 mark onwards. Stupid penalties, horrid defence. They almost looked tired, which is no surprise considering their matches up to this point.

Well hats off to Le Bleu, but it was a deserved win.
