That was fantastic by a nation of 330,000 people. I had a hunch Iceland would cause some damage.

I am able to watch the last game at lunch due to being on the west coast so that helps some, but my mind is elsewhere. There is also surf right now so I my mind is definitely elsewhere. I might be able to get out early today to get a session down in San Clemente, we will see.

How the hell did England just win that?

Yeah...was Vardy not offside because the ball came off the Welsh Defender? I am unfamiliar with this quirk of rules.

The Irish fans have been my favorite part of this, they've been cracking me up.

Clean it up for the boys in green

"1-nil and we fucked it up!" Then they see the English and it's "Please don't start a riot!"

And the guy on the balcony!

I'm fairly certain that's the rule. That is what the announcers said.

Yes, he was onside it was played to him by a Wales player (nothing to do with Bale). Think of it this way, if an opposition player were to pass the ball backwards to an opponent who was in an offside position, he is not offside because it was not played to him by his team (whereas, it would be offside if it were played by a team-mate, when the player was offside and only deflected off a player of the opposite team). Incredible vision and decision by the AR to get that right (don't know how he saw it through all the players, but very well done).

Big moment for USA soccer here. Let's go boys. And concur with the Ireland fan comment above...all time.

    Love the Irish fans!

The US looked good last night, despite the insanely stupid move by Jones to get thrown out of the fucking game.

Bradley needs to be benched. My opinion of him has turned 180. Too many back passes when he could turn and penetrate. Too many balls given up in an unforced fashion. Too bald.

Dempsey has scored a goal in 13 of his last 18 US games.

I think bradley is being played out of position. Put jones and beckerman behind him in a 4-2-3-1 and let him play an offensive center midfield position, let him set up dempsey, wood and zardes... that is a potent attack right there!

I was at the game last night. I'm sure most of you know this, but it's a great experience to watch a US soccer match these days. It just wasn't that long ago when watching a live US match was about as rowdy as watching opera.

I've seen games in a few stadiums now and it's always fun. I love the energy footy fans bring to the stadium!
