I glide down silken paths that lead
to hidden treasures.
The unearthly quiet seems to defy the rushing blur
of conifers and canyon walls.
I fall between Heaven and Earth frozen in time
but not in space.
Falling down the frozen face of the Earth
like a golden leaf.
Wood and Stone define reality and non-existence
in harsh terms.
The Snow, perfect Wasatch Flake,
flows to Gravity’s pull.
I flow to the same force tempered
with edges of finest steel.
My boards flex to their full curve as I sink deep
into the Virgin Face.
