What’s the actual weight of the moon lander?
What’s the actual weight of the moon lander?
Psyched to see Surly making weird ass bikes again.
Haven’t weighed it yet, but pulling out of the box, it felt surprisingly light. I’ll weigh it when I finish it this morning.

Speaking of fat and light, anyone interested in a farley 9.8? 2017 Medium, almost all stock except a dt swiss hub for the rear as the bonty hub kept shredding.
Lmk and I can pm pics etc.

Since I got an eFAT,
my Farley has sat.
The Moonlander costs more
and the choice of rubber will be nil.
^^
That looks really nice!!
I just got both my Farley and the eFAT ready for the season. Looks like it starts tomorrow!
Outstanding start to the season!
I ride the FATe most of the time. 4-5" of fresh over a packed base is perfect. Over 8" is pretty tuff.
Full face and full pads.
The Farley is mostly ridden on easier terrain with the old feller.
Full studs on the Dillingers for winter.
watch out for snakes
We suffer serious freeze thaw cycles, so I'm running studs full time.
Today was 6-7" new untracked fluff.

i weighed my Norco bigfoot and I seem to remember it was 37 lbs which is not so bad but all that tire sure made it slow
Lee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know
This was some of the deepest snow I've ridden.
They are $210 USD, $300 is Canadian dollars.
Also, FWIW, metal pedals and metal handlebar are massive heat sinks. A lot warmer with a $40 composite pedal, and $30 carbon handlebar. It's the little things.

I run composite flats. I switch between Sorel's and a high top bike shoe.
This is Sorel conditions. I fall a lot more in soft deep snow, so no SPD's for me.

Hi I am looking around for a large fatbike. Mostly to ride on snow in NH when the skiing is firm. So studded tires a plus. Last winter I rented and borrowed a few times and I think I would use it enough. There are trails from my house but the gear library where I borrow a bike asks folks to stay on their local trails (Bethlehem, NH).
I have been looking around for used bikes, trying to keep it under $1k.
Should I care between 27.5 and 26" wheels?
If you have a spare bike, let me know! thanks
I <heart> hot tele-moms
27.5 tire will roll better, I have both and prefer riding the 27.5 because it's a bit less effort but the 26 works just fine.
