4 hp johnson outboard, longshaft. I think it a 74 based off serial number. whats it worth? the guy wants 160. this is assuming she runs strong.

I am no motor expert but if bet you can find a mid 90's 4hp for an extra hundred. Might have to travel to get it but might be more reliable.

My 4hp Yamaha is over at burnside small engine off Redmond, gettin fixed. You could try giving them a ring to see if anything has rolled through the shop lately. Not much in the way of personality at that shop but they seem to do good, honest work.

If you have not already, hit up Gary at mtn driftboat. He'll try and sell you a new Merc for 900 but if you are stern about wanting something used he might come though.

We still gotta get out fishin. Leavin for two wks on Friday. After that...

I just looked at eBay prices. Those motors sell from $160 to $300 depending on year and or condition.
