I have a retarded side, and it's the side that's really amused by this "singing trucks" video:
Country music is music for drivers
Country music is about working
off to go make shit money driving loud, slow, rickety fiberglass junk in the snow listening to idiots yammer on the radio.....while my friends all surf and text me about how great the waves are looking today. That's your fucking country song right there.
Jimmy Lafave
Lucinda
Ray Bonneville
Jerry Jeff Walker
Gary P Nunn
Deer Tick - not sure it qualifies as proper country, but I like it.

Brain dead and made of money.
Yeah. $80 here. Not going. Skiing instead.

JFC, glad I caught him at the Urban Lounge in SLC when he came through in April, I think tickets were $20. Small ass venue. I always knew he was going to hit it big one day and glad I finally got to see him in a small club before it got out of hand! I've been in the Tyler Childers loop for ~5 years now after I somehow stumbled onto this:

Young Steve Earle
Someone just watched Heartworn Highways, or owns it. See the updated version?

Shovels & Rope, Nikki, some Guy before he died
Damn Guy. Any of us that lived in or around the Rockies knew this girl....
Saw it a long time ago, but did just pick through it for those clips. I used to hate country music as a kid. That position changed a little after seeing Guy Clark and Jerry Jeff Walker perform at The Texas Chili Parlour in Austin.
Didn’t know that Steve Earle started out as Guy Clark’s bass player.
