    Snowshoe help

I just got the Atlas 825's from steep and cheap at a pretty sweet price. I weigh 180 lbs and my pack would typically be 30 pounds or so. The recommended load for the 825's is 120-200 lbs. Do you think I will be giving up a lot by not getting the bigger 830's?? Will I see a big difference in performance?

What do you plan on doing with the snowshoes? Hiking to ski/snowboard or are you just using them to hike around? I would think that given your combined weight you are right on the bubble.
While your weight would definitely play a factor, snowshoe size also depends on how you are going to be using them. If the snow is going to be really deep and soft then probably bigger is better, but if the snow has even slightly settled then I would think that you would be fine.

I plan on doing a little east coast touring with them. Yeah I agree about being right on the bubble.
