    FS: Quantitative Analyst/Financial Analyst/Econometrician

So wifey just finished grad school, and that means I'm mobile again. I'm getting the resume all freshened up and am trying to reach out anywhere I can to see what's out there.

I have BA and MA degrees from top 10 schools. My academic background is primarily in finance/economics and econometrics.

I've been working with big data sets, primarily in SAS and SQL, but also with some Stata and R thrown in. Of course, I'm pretty good in Excel, too. I have some experience playing around with Java and Python, so if I needed to bone up on those for the right job, I could. But I'm more of an analyst with some programming skills than a programmer with some skills as an analyst, if that makes sense to you. I actually write papers and serve as the point of contact for clients and stuff like that in my current job, and I'm pretty good at it.

I'm currently located in DC, but I'm aiming to move to a better locale for skiing if possible. I'm not targeting a specific sector or job title. I just want some combination of more intellectually stimulating/more opportunity to advance/better location than I have now.

Can anyone put me in touch with a good headhunter who might be interested in people like me? Shoot me a PM if you can.

    Thanks.

Bump! Wifey is expecting a job offer in the Park City - Salt Lake City area this week. Can anyone put me in touch with a recruiter in Utah?

    I'm definitely worth a hire!

Get in touch with BostonJohn... he's a recruiter in the Denver area and might have a connection in SLC.

Bump. I have just about two weeks to line something up in SLC before wifey's job offer expires.

I've gotten some nibbles but nothing has panned out yet. Thank you for the leads I've gotten so far.

If the wife has an offer, accept it and move. You're obviously employable.
Being there will increase opportunities for you. Roll the dice, you'll be fine.

You're probably right. Wifey is a schoolteacher, so the coin she can bring in isn't huge or anything, but we're pulling enough equity out of the house to get our mortgage payment down pretty low.
