The sadistic Cleveland dungeon master drove around with a female mannequin with a wig.
Ariel Castro also scared his wife with the doll – startling her so she fell down and hit her head.
“The mannequin was something he kept in his house or the garage or the car and he would move it around,” said his late wife’s sister, Elida Caraballo.
“It was the top half, it wasn't on a stand. It was a dark brown mannequin with beady eyes and sandy hair.”
Castro once scared Figueroa with the dummy by jumping out at her as she carried groceries home. She fell and hit her head, relatives said.
Her husband Frank Caraballo told the Daily Mail that he used to drive around with the mannequin.
“I remember he used to drive it around on the street. He would drive around and put it next to him just to get attention. I remember thinking, ‘Man that Ariel, what is wrong with him?’”
“I'm sure they will find it in that house,” he said. “He would never get rid of it.”
Castro’s nephew said the former school bus driver even threatened him with it.
“He would say, ‘Act up again, you’ll be in that back room with the mannequin,’” he told the Associated Press.
