Thumbs up Surf Instruction for Newbies - SurfSimply Podcast

So I am headed out to San Diego for a few days of surfing this weekend and my buddy who lives out there recommended this podcast. I watched several last night and I gotta say this guy does a great job explaining stuff ...mainly via whiteboard and then they'll cut away to examples.

I've been watching those as well. We'll see how well it translates in the water.

CF, did they help for your trip? I watched a few minutes of a clip and seems there's definitely some info you can apply once you're in the water.

Thanks so much for posting this - just what I need.

Helped me a bunch on my San Diego trip. I'm a surf gaper, so the bit on the proper way to turtle (letting your body hang perpendicular to the board) and how to use the buoyancy of the board as leverage to pull your body back onto the board really made a noticeable difference...saved a lot of energy.
