Yes, for real... he's stable and in the ICU for observation... fractured cartiledge in his throat sledding today (-his fiance).

I just talked to one of the guys that he is staying with in Jackson, he nailed his throat on the handle bars of the sled that he was ussing. Sounds like he is going to be ok, but he isnt going to be talking for a while. Wish him well.

py luck. There have been way too many injuries this year, particularly in the PNW. If we're not getting screwed by the snow, someone's gotten hurt.

and also just found out a friend in SLC tore also tore knee cartilege today

Matt's fiance here... UPDATE: Matt will be in the hospital for 2-3 more days and I'm flying down to Jackson to bring him back to WA when he's able to travel. He's possibly looking at food through a straw for a for a couple of weeks and a lot of drugs but, he'll recover. A shitty end to a shitty PNW season... he'll be rocking the pink helmet again in no time though!
