    How bad is Stevens Pass?

My kids haven't skied this season (well, one of them skied twice but not the other one). Is it worth heading out tomorrow, or shall we, as usual, do something else this week-end, like rock climbing?

From what I've heard, skiing at Stevens might as well be called rock climbing. Or... rock sliding.

You be better off heading to Baker and making laps down Austin & Canyon if you are concerned about coverage.

But, if you don't mind bringing out some of the rock boards and don't mind some damage- bring your Alpental or Crystal pass up to Stevens and get 25% off tickets.

The lifts are still turning, and it is skiing. 7th Heaven is open, but I'm not too sure about the coverage. Was at Heather Ridge last Sunday and from afar it looked okay. You'll still have a good time.

Whistler is pretty good right now, and it's really not that far away.

We went and we had a blast. For my $23 (for 3 people) it was a great afternoon. The snow was oh so slushy around 3pm, but we didn't care. I should have gone much sooner in the "season" though the temperatures have invited me to do other activities instead.

I brought the straight old 200 slaloms for fear of bad coverage, but had no issues there.

We'll probably be back Saturday if there still is snow, with the G4s (straight skis suck).
