Hey ScottG, before you act all cock in the mouth, you might want to make sure the product you are linking fits the job. Those posi bits, no matter what speed chuck you use, won't mount solly toe pieces and such.

E, check http://www.svst.com/ They sell what you want, a 6". Ask they for a few "caution: this vehicle make wide GS turns" bumper stickers.

Black diamond sells a nifty screwdriver that stores six bits in the handle. It includes a posidrive. I bought it to use for emercencies in the backcountry, but it worked just find mounting my dynafits. Useful little dude. Order at www.bdel.com.

    Fine, fine, fine.
I did a hasty search that took 30 seconds.
I did not know that a 6" bit was what he needed, but I could find that in another 30 seconds.

Where did he say Solly toe piece? I missed that part.
    Whatever.

there are a ton of tools out there and I was hoping to get some useful info from a like minded maggot on the board who has experience buying posidrive bits from a shop online or a good source here in denver.

I use look/rossi, but mostly salomon 916 binders so i would be needing a bit to work with them for sure.

what i dont need is some dumb ass response from some lonely angry moron trying to introduce me to the internet. By the way... only total douchebags use lingo like "new fangled".

Foggy's right. Using standard posi-drive bits in a hex-adapter won't fit into the narrow passage allowing access to the front two screws of the Sollie toe-piece. If those are cranked nice and tight, it can be a real trial trying to loosen the screws without the aid of power tools. The six-incher would do Sollie's, as well as everything else...definitely the way to go. If folks don't have Sollie's, the Home Depot would obviously have a fine selection of pos-drive driver bits...

Here is my point. I’m generally the last guy to jump anyone’s shit, but there is a disturbing trend around here lately. People are way too quick to bring the noise. One thing that is great about this place is there’s a ton a knowledge to be shared. E posted in tech talk (instead of Googling etc.) because he knew he’d get the right answer. You gave him the business and the wrong answer. The bits you linked to a completely worthless for mounting ski bindings of any type. Try making a positive contribution.

McMaster Carr Catalogue has the deep posidrive bits cheaper than any ski shop will.

    http://www.mcmaster.com/

item: 52865A24 for #3 (also will bring up the catalogue page searching for that)

    $2.68 each

Now tell me, how much does Sun Valley want for them? (They probably get them from McMaster.)
