Picky eaters. Just eat what's available, for God's sake! I'll give a pass for those with allergies, of course.

For real! One of my top pet peeves. Especially since I am the complete opposite. I'm pretty much down for whatever. If you can handle balut in the Philippines or street cart bugs in Thailand, you can handle just about anything. I'm on the "seefood" diet.
Adults who are pickier than most small children, and it's NOT allergy related, are just some whiny bicheZ.

Ive worked with a ton of picky eaters, it seems pervasive in the Utah Mormon culture. My theory is that they go straight from mommy making exactly what they want to a wife becoming their mommy and making exactly what they want. One coworker had to douse everything they ate in ketchup, another refused to eat anything white (wtf?) and another would not eat any vegetables or anything cooked with vegetables.

Other eating related bad behavior that annoys me: people who stare at their cell phones at the table, and I dont mean a quick check because they are on-call or something, I mean full on scrolling social media.

Waiting until the waitress comes to the table in a busy restaurant to look at the menu. Then they expect the waitress to stand there while they choose something. I'll just tell them we arent ready yet and to give us a minute. These people are normally so clueless that as soon as the waitress leaves, they just start talking to the group again and ignore the menu.
Yeah, it all goes along with not being self-aware. I’m wondering is it just because I’m at the get off my lawn age now? Prolly a bit, but It seems definitely more because of cell phones.

Be grateful. He still feels subordinate to you.

WTF? I love vegetables, but you know, my mom was a great cook. I think people haven’t had things cooked properly, and they grew up with it, and they just never get over it. Mrs. Plug‘s whole family is that way except for her.

The picky eater thing wears many hats. I've basically gotten to feel, "it's totally cool that you don't eat what I eat but you gotta fend for yourself".

I have friends and family with legitimate dietary challenges. Cancer survivors, IBS and other sensitivities. Many of them don't like to talk about it. So respect the "no thank you". Asking why somebody doesn't want to eat is a dick move.

There are those that use their special menu as a flex to be self important. I went on a Grand Canyon Trip once when there was a friend of friend that was "Veggie". Totally cool, I'll plan my meals around you and do my best to not flip your eggs with the spatula that touches the sausage. Day Two see her eating bites of steak off here friends plate. Fuck these people.

Misery loves company unhealthy eaters. My sister is one of these. You wanna skip breakfast, get hangry, eat dog shit packaged food at 11, your choice. But don't act like I'm the weird one that is gonna have a healthy lunch at 12:30.

People have interesting relationship with food and collectively our diet sucks. I try and not get in the middle of it. But I pack my own food a lot and miss a lot of "going out" for these reasons.

Watching the Tour live on Peacock, paused it to cook and eat breakfast, and when I came back, the stream was gone. Apparently once the broadcast ends, The stream is gone until they post the replay in 3 or 4 hours. Fuck you Peacock! Why does it take hours to put up a stream that you already broadcast?

Yup. Especially when YouTube and others can literally do it LIVE! Can rewind anytime and as soon the stream wraps up, the full recording is there. Get with the times, Peacock!

Funny. Today I watched the end live but usually I watch is live before work, make note of the remaining Km's and finish up after dinner. So I never knew.

To rub salt in the wound, we had only been watching the extended highlights for each stage. We were having a lazy Sunday and my wife said " let's sign up for peacock and watch the tour live" so I signed up today specifically to watch this ONE frickin stage live

Lame. FWIW, I find watching the last part of the stage better than the YouTube highlights. I don't know about any of the analysis recaps like The Butterfly Effect. I can't get into them.

Peakcock is the only streaming I pay for. Premier League mostly, but Olympics, Supercross/MX also.

I was really confused by that too when I went to chk out the tour and couldn’t find the days replay [emoji638] hours after the race. WTF super annoying to wait that long for replay especially since the races usually end in the morning when I’m having breakfast

    Shit that annoys you

Judgemental people annoy me. It’s literally none of your business what others eat. It’s their body, which reacts to the food they put in it. This might be entirely different from your diet. Who cares? You’re just judging others with your bullshit superiority complex. At no point is any of this your choice. So why even think about it?

    Mind your own.

There's a world of difference between "I have tried many things, I have decided what I like / what works best for me through trial and error, and now I am going to preferentially eat those things" and "I am a fat luddite who will only eat the lowest common denominator that has been engineered to appeal to my inept taste buds."

I had a car part for sale on fb marketplace. Twenty something asks how much to ship, so I work up a quote. Great he says, but I need to wait to pay day to buy. After that rolls around he gives me a long sob story how he doesn’t have the money. Mistakenly I share with my wife and she says pay it forward and send anyways. He says my dad wants to pay send Venmo. I do asking only to have shipping covered. Then I send a tracking number. Then days after it arrives, I ask if he received it. Being fb messenger I can see he saw my messages. No Venmo, no thank you, nothing. Odds of him paying it forward which is what I asked nada.

Since it’s the shit that annoys you thread, your rant annoys me in the context of what we were talking about. No one‘s making fun of people with food allergies, we’re talking about adults that eat like children and expect others to bend to it. Toast nailed this one.
