Started watching the BritBox series " I, Jack Wright" one episode a night (6 episodes total) and was looking forward to the conclusion tonight (finding out who in his fucked up family killed him for his riches) BUT NO! It ended in a cliff hanger and a quick Google indicated that IT HAS NOT BEEN PICKED UP FOR RENEWAL!

    UGH.

If I'd known I never would have started the series. Let this be a warning to you. Good show with no ending.

This is where you should be able to upload the video into an AI platform and have it generate the rest of the series for you.

I like to Google a series before I start, just to see if I'm gonna get fucked out of a conclusion. I won't even bother if the series doesn't wrap up.

Im a sucker for Scandinavian and Finnish police crime dramas. There's a few where the first season is free and then you have to subscribe for the remaining seasons. I fall for it every time. Got any good reccs for shows? Ive already seen Girl with the Dragon tattoo. And season 1 of Artic Circle. There's a few others. I just found this: https://tvshowpilot.com/fun-posts/be...-crime-dramas/

I'll have to check those out besides Artic Circle. Any others?

I think there are all sorts on Amazon Prime.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    Good idea.

It's like someone ripped the last chapter out of a book I was reading.

You'll get some answers. The will gets adjudicated and there is an arrest but I've a feeling it won't stick.

You can kinda see where it is going but no definitive answers.

What I read online about the series is that if it does finally get picked up it would hit screens until late 2026.

Yes, and several of them only give you the first season for free.

Fuck that I want new seasons of Strike Back. Can't even find re-runs on line anymore.

Patriot on Prime. Great series and doesn't leave a ton of loose ends. But from beginning to end there's a subplot that implies there's a while other after story and then it's just over. Damn you Jeff Bezos.

Great show! It’s ratings were actually pretty good even for the time.

Have you seen the entire series (so far) of Shetland? My wife and I sort of lost interest when Jimmy left.

I'm one episode into the new cast. I'm thinking it will be okay. Jimmy had pretty much run out of friends he could accuse of crimes (poor Duncan).

One thing I will say is that Tosh's stay at home husband/partner/whatever is a saint. Does she even like him or her baby?

The show doesn't paint a great picture of family life if you're a police detective, that's for sure. I have a feeling being an actual cop in the Shetlands is a bit less dramatic

So true about running out of people lol. I didn’t realize the show was still going until recently since in only had watched the earlier seasons on pbs. It’s was solid for a while tho. I’d give it a chance just to see if it’s still holding up at all

Doris sucks, but tonight she’s reigned it in a bit.

Those pay series with free previews show up on Netflix eventually. I'm waiting for 1923 and Landman. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren hard to top, likewise Billy Bob in a perfect role. Hope Netflix shows them before I die.
