putting it in the hole on friday

To Jackson I go. I'll be there on Friday, skiing saturday. Going up in the heli on monday. perhaps quitting skiing on tuesday.

Whatever, i'll be there all week. look for the bigs that look like wood and get some change for that damn nickle that is just too big to buy anything.

im outta town Fri-Tues, but all things considered the skiings allright.
Heli action has been off the hook down in the Snakes & Palisades. This week they've been skiing 40+ degree, 2500-3000 ft runs down in the Palisades. The Vill is getting thinner and thinner. Cant speak for OB, but S facing inbounds are skiing well with the inversion. WHy not was nice yesterday, looks like frozen chickenheads, but was really soft. rocks are beginning to show. Not sure what the pass is looking like, hammskied i reckon, but Towgotee is skiing GREAT, shallow, but great.

just got back. it was like skiing in july at the village. yes, july!
anyway the heli skiing was great. we were down in the snakes and got to ski lots of nice pow - not 5% pow, but still pretty good.

The helicopter was a cool experience. It's pretty f-ing fast and powerful - basically scared the crap out of me at first, which is always fun.

Just a guess. said he had been guiding some dufus, and i put 2 and 2 together...just kidding.

he's a really good friend, and he'd said "if the suns a shinin', I'm a guiding."

assuming he showed you a good time, cuz everytime i ski with him we have a blast.

yeah, he was really cool, and showed us the good. that day made my season- and it had too b/c i didn't get many days this year.

i couldn't believe his resume. he's had a pretty cool professional career.

the only thing about the experience that wasn't absolutely sweet was that my friends couldn't make the trip up with me. i'll have to start encouraging a heli-savings plan for next year. now that we don't get to ski 60 days a year, it's more important to get those killer days... Nat did a great job - i should send him an email or something (we got back late and my ride was itching to leave, so i ran off really quick).
