    joining skins

Here's my situation. my skins (90 mm) don't quite cover the base of my skis (Tankers) adequately (slipping on most steep inclines). I have an old pair of skins that are way thin (like 60mm), but still functional. I was wondering, before I drop some cash on some new skins, if anyone has joined two pairs of skins together or trimmed two skins per ski in order to get proper coverage. If so, how did you attach both skins to the tip/tail and how well did it work. Is it possible to simple overlap the skins, or does this limit the contact with the snow and edging ability OR should I just drop $100 and get some skins that I can trim to cover my bases. Anyone?

    Do the "Brazilian shave".

    1.Remove the frontloop and rearclip.
2.Cut the skin in two in the middle.
3.Glue the skin to place, with leaving the "empty" space in the middle of the ski.
    4.Re-attach the frontloop and rearclip.

I might say that the packing/unpacking is hillarious when it is windy...

I personally dont have those customed skins, but my friend used those
    for a while.

It was nice to watch the show while eating sandwiches.

The floggings will continue until morale improves.
