    WTB: Cheap 6 weight

Chased sea runs and resident coho on the fly last weekend for the first time and quickly realized the lightweight 5wt setup I use for backpacking isn't going to cut it in the wind on the salt. Thus looking for a 6 weight setup. As it's going to be used relatively infrequently, in the salt and I've got zero income I'm looking for something cheap. Doesn't have to be high end, just figured if someone had something sitting in their gear closet they wanted to part with cheap we could talk.

Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

I've got a Scott 6wt 2pc fresh water rod that I may let go for $80. It's been a loaner for when family & friends come to visit, but honestly rarely gets used.

Being a 2pc and fresh water hardware, it's probably not what you're looking for.

i would get a decent one like an echo ion because you might want to spend more time on the salt this summer with the hoards of pink salmon returning to puget sound. i have three ion's and they are great saltwater rods for a damn nice price.

I have an Echo Ion 10' 6wt with an Orvis Clearwater reel and a custom built Floating line from Steve Godshall that I would let go for $250. $320 Invested. In like new condition. The line is designed for distance chucking junk as well as being able to single spey with the rod.

I can let a 6wt 9'6" Winston B2x go for cheap. It has a busted tip section. I'm about to ship it back for a replacement.

Doh, good answer, forgot it was a pink year. Just picked up an Ion, thread closed.
