Straitjacket Fits
This whole album was genius but this song has my favorite lyric of all time:
"I wish I could be as mellow as for instance Jackson Browne, but Fountain of Sorrow my ass motherfucker, I hope you wind up in the ground"
the whole album's on youtube, it's classic.
New Destroyer album is out.
Listened to these guys a little bit off and on. Started with entertaining Youtube covers. Best known for their cover of Gotye (167 million hits now, wow). They've got more original stuff now and I've started to hear this one more and more.
This one apparently has the most plays of their new single, but I hadn't heard it before just now. Poppy, sure. But pretty sure they write their own stuff, at least.
About to kick off a long weekend. Getting out of Dodge. Payce real world!
Great lyrics. Aaron's voice. 1960.
I mean he straight-up says he's gonna kill her if she tries to ever break up.

Let's kick it up about 50 notches. First you gotta turn it way up.
that chord in the bridge
^^I had no idea Danny Partridge started out as a Canadian folk singer.
Here's another "Four Winds"
I always thought these guys were from the US, and now I find out it's Jimmy Page on guitar. Whoa.
edit: ha, never heard this before, it came up on autoplay after that last one^^^ What a voice though, yikes.

Wasn't expecting that, that was very good. That crowd was starting to remind me of a show where (somehow) The Ramones were on the same bill as Marshall Tucker Band. Seemed everyone there was there for Marshall Tucker and boo'd the shit out of the Ramones. It got real ugly real fast. I think they barely made it through 2 songs before they were completely boo'd off stage. I just remember Joey giving the audience the finger and yelling "FUUUUCK YOUUUU!!" before leaving.
HAHAHAHA, Excellent!
New Silversun Pickups. I like the song. Is the video hot or affected? Or a little of both? You decide:
