This guy doesn't exactly look like a rock star, but a damn fine musician. I'm impressed. Very catchy tune.

“How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world? I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher”. — Jimi Hendrix
Yeah actually neither had I. Shame what music Hollywood put on constant rotation when FM was our only choice. I grew up with the Aerosmith version being one of my favorite songs. I'm only a few years younger than you, but I didn't hear the Yardbird's version until I was probably 30. I was thinking about posting that in the ABQ thread until I found this one, figured I'd list it here for the music aficionados instead.
And now for something completely different
Then there’s this version. They recorded it for the movie Blowup but changed the lyrics because of some copyright issue. Beck and Page, killin’ it.
The (pretentious) movie version.

Guitar-based rock is not dead yet.
Hard to not get a bit of a Neil Young vibe especially the guitar solo.
