Sadies and Andre Williams
Shit I just read that Dallas Good dropped dead last year at 48, that sucks. But they're touring right now, I guess we'll hear how that goes. Have just lately been getting into them because of Tuco.
Love this song! Such a great arrangement
“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis

This makes me both happy and a little melancholy
I think they knew it was special

This is really cool, it almost belongs in the best cover song thread, except it is done by the original artist

"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy
"bound to cover just a little more ground"
Not sure how I never heard this before. Pure gold!

I worked for twenty years taking care of developmentally disabled adults, and folks with traumatic brain injuries, and on one occasion I went to the Special Olympics Dance in the Adams Center, which was the culmination/celebration at end the Montana State Games held in Missoula that year. There was an arcade of various carnival type games on the mezanine, and there was a band on stage playing music for a couple thousand individually interesting "specials" doing their own dances to the music. Then the band started playing "Spirit in the Sky" and everything continued as it had been going, until they came to the part of the song where it goes "I've got a friend in Jesus", the band went silent after leading in with "I never been a sinner, never sinned, but..." to allow for the audience to sing it, and the whole crowd sang it with one booming voice in complete unison, as if they had been rehearsing it their whole lives. It gave me chills, it still makes me tear up just thinking about it.
I had been to many rehearsals of choirs where thirty or so special folks practiced songs they'd been singing together for years, they never were able to sing anything together like that huge mass of people from all over Montana did without any practice at all.
^ Nice, and I’m not religious in the least.
