I will say that they fit tight. I have the mediums and I would not recommend them for other 35" inseam people. Also, they are tight on the thighs and waist. The buttons above the fly are these light plastic snaps and the top one always pops when I get air. I have not had them freeze up, but they can get a little wet as the dwr seems like it is average. The pockets are a joke. Pocket zippers open easily with dynamic skiing. The cargo pocket not so much.

All in all, if you are on the bigger end of a size, I recommend sizing up. They zip open, breathe well, and Schoeller material is fantastic.
I agree with all of this. Pretty water resistant with DWR too. Im super sweaty and these pants breath well and have good zippers.

Got out in my $70 STP Rab Exodus pants Sunday. Started warmish and turned cold and windy as a front moved in. I would put them up there with my OR Trailbreaker pants. Slightly loose in the crotch and tighter in the lower legs, vents, mini gaiters, etc. Worth checking out.

Haven't read through the thread, but the Arcteryx Procline FL pant is my go to pant, super breathable, well placed pockets and side zips. Nice fit, not super tight, lightweight suspenders, and expandable cuff that will fit lower profile skimo boots, or something a little beefier.

They were incredible stretchy and felt like a soft shell. Although the waist was way too small for me in the size M, the rest of the pants fit well. Fit well for Euro style that is. I'm going to pass these along to a friend or back to someone on here.

I also picked up a pair of Trew Roams in size large in their pre-Black Friday sale. The pants rock. They feel like half the weight of the Trailbreaker, have incredible venting, and still have a 20k/40k waterproof breathable rating. Fit is solid too. Definitely a more athletic cut than the Trewth, but not as Euro as the Trailbreaker. Danny Noonan's description is 100% spot on.

One note: as compared to my old pair and new pair (via warranty) of Trewths, the Roams feel quite a bit less substantial. The Roams are so light it's hard for me to believe that they would stand up to nearly as much abuse as the Trewths have. Feels just about absolutely perfect for touring in all conditions!
I would buy those Trailbreakers from you.

I have BD Sharper End pants right now. Very good touring pants too with the same attributes I need. Big cargo pockets for radios and maps. Big vents. Relatively waterproof. Integrated belt. But I do love my Trailbreakers
