    Source for Shock Cord purchase

I need some shock cord (not 100% sure of the total feet needed but less than 10 would be more than enough) for a repair. The requirements are 1/4" (or 6 mm) and prefer a black or darker color (I have found a source for mostly white or lighter color on line in the right thickness)... REI shows it on their web site, but not available or in stock:

Closest REI is 100 miles or so if it is sold in any of the stores only. Anyone have a source or can provide a reliable supplier. Probably want to keep the cost with shipping under $10 (could stick it in an envelope and send it in the mail as far as I am concerned). I tried a few local stores and no luck so far.

Bought some at a Joann fabrics a few weeks back for a proof of concept at work, IIRC it was grey with black specs.

Let me check tomorrow, and see if I can snag a few feet of it.

    Check this place out:
    http://shop.skinboats.com/

got 20 feet with $.32 shipping.

Also, the cord I got at REI was wrapped in cotton, so not very good for anything winter....

Been there already before posting this - our local store only had elastic and probably would break in 2 minutes....

The boat place seems to have black in 3/16" only- unless I am missing something in searching their site.

I am not sure what the fabric on the stuff I have now that broke is for material. But it lasted about 2 years maybe 3 and could be due to a burred eyelet that it is strung through as the right side is fine.

Just do an amazon search. I know I bought 250' there, but wasn't looking for small volumes. Regardless, you will find everything you need on Amazon.
