I know that its no mecca, but I've never had a bad day dropping 10-15 foot boulders in steamboat and fishcreek canyon with a few oppurtunities to go bigger. In fact, i'm going to go do that tomorow.

I think cedar breaks national monument would be an amazing place for huck photos, at least for the few weeks each winter when the snow is conducive to such things...

Not totally on topic, I know, but kinda related.

Also, it should be noted that I do not huck. At all. Ever.

I'm partial to Brighton for cliff drops in Utah. Tons of drops in the 10-30' range are around with steep and deep landings. It's the second snowiest resort in the Wasatch which means you have a good chance of finding a soft landing. The place rides like a huge terrain park. Mary Chutes anyone? This photo is of Brett dropping in right under the Crest lift.

Second favorite for your chuckin' pleasure would have to be Snowbird. Bigger cliffs, but flatter landings and it gets tracked out faster.

EDIT: Alta has some sick drops, so I hear. They don't like our kind around those parts so I can't say this from experience, though. (I gotta get better on two planks so I can drop cliffs on 'em )

I think the best huck ever is "Hollywood" or "my first huck" as punani calls it, right under chair 4 on the backside of kirkwood. Other hucks may also be close to lifts, but this one is as direct as you can get for public humiliation. I vote the kirkwood crew has a photo slut steeze day off of this "cliff". Sunday anyone? backscratchers, mule kicks and twister twister spreads mandatory.

For those of you that didn't read the entire thread - a recap -

Started out cool, squawman makes not so funny post, phunk attacks and the Pirahnas jump in and destroy what could've been a cool thread. Lame

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

Not really. Squaw/Blackcomb/Alta are in a different world when it comes to cliffs.

Indeed. Almost too many cliffs. Didn't Powder do a short article on Cedar Breaks within the last year or so?

I'd agredd with Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird as the top 3 I've been to.

Lake Louise also has some amazing spots to compete with Alta, but it's not quite as good in the fact that wherever you look there is not a huckable chunk of rock (ala Alta.)
