    Bird today, 11/17/03

    Quickie report from work:

I left at noon. Tram hadn't opened and prolly won't. Tomorrow morning is gonna be SICK, SICK, SICK for all that can make it up!!! And anybody within a night's drive should be there or you will regret it for the rest of your life. Patrol said wind was the problem; not the snow stability - so prolly everything will be open again including Cirque, etc, yada, yada, yada.

This a.m. skiing just Wilbere and G-Zoom was beyond belief for Nov. friggin 17th!!! Conditions were soft everywhere, but variable from graupel to windbuff to pow, pow.

    GIT SUM!!!

What he said. I was up from about 11:30 to 1 today. It was pretty fun for Wilbere.

I'll be there bright and early in the Tram line tomorrow. However, in my selfishness, I think you should stay home.

Dude what are you driving a 1970 green friggin pinto?!?! You can be here from Denver in 8-9 hours tops and then turn around and go home and be at work on Wednesday a.m. fresh as the dew on a lily.

Plus, maybe you can get Funken to split the driving wit ya.

Is 8 hours a night's drive? Don't even tempt me.

I'll be there at about noon if everything goes swimmingly with the aeroplane. Look for me and KD.

I'll have on a grey HH jacket with Red zipper pulls and pocket rockets with an Apple sticker and a "Fuck Work" sticker on each tip, respectively.

    Be there wed. as well.

Be on first chair on Thurs. at Alta.

Hmmm. Sorry no one believes me. That was my afternoon experience and I was just trying to prepare anyone considering traveling here. I don't say it's bad when it's good.

It's just that it's a little hard to believe with Xover's first post and my roommates report who was up there all day.

Got it, it probably would've been that way for me too, everyday has been so far. Well, almost. Still trying to recover and get my ski legs back from a blown knee last year.

i got class till 10:30, then im headed up. If anyone is leaving around 11:30-12:00 and would like to donate their day pass to a broke college foo i would be very appreciative, only thing i could trade for it is a safety meeting in the future.

I hear ya ColdSmoke. Sometimes it just ain't happening, even if everyone else is enjoying it. Sunday morning I was absolutely miserable. New boots, couldn't get them buckled right for shit - they were either cutting off all circulation or falling off my feet all morning. Couldn't see anything and I don't have the days on my legs yet to deal with it. Then my "I think I'm getting a little headache" turned into a migrane and I couldn't even keep my eyes open in the light. Went back to the truck and took an Excedrin every 10 minutes until I felt better - suddenly the boots felt good, sun came out enough that I could see, and I had the run of the year (at that point) after they opened the Chips side of the mountain.

Hope you went out this morning because it was BEAUTIFUL. Didn't expect them to open the Cirque...
