Baker brings in Heli for snow management

Never thought I'd hear this but, looks like Baker is following in Whistler's footsteps by using a 'bird to help move snow around

12 inches of New on Honkers Cat Track!
Sure enough . . . .with the hard work of the Baker crew and a little assistance from HiLine Helicopters, today we received 12 inches of "new" snow on the Honker's Cat Track. We decided to move snow via the helicopter to help keep the Cat Track in better shape for you all till it falls from the sky on its own! Another Baker first.

Wow, this weekend I think I'm going to aim for a sarcastically funny TR before getting the car ready for another round of road trips for March.
Anyone up for some skinning around North Cascades, Stevens, or Alpe (Chair Mtn) areas?

I'm not surprised - as bad as the cat track was yesterday. Holiday cat track was even worse - more bare patches than snow. There are really only three runs with skiable coverage there now. This will probably be the first year without a banked slalom.

Oddly enough, table has been semi-sweet the last few days - as long as you stay in the shadows. Starting to sun crust everywhere else.

I'm putting $10 on March 6 for closing day.
    Living vicariously through myself.
