    I gave him $20. I don't think he was being a dick, he just didn't seem to know better.

    i woulda been real pissed if i were you. i got skunked on a guide in FL once without the guide even fishing and I was still upset. not that it was really his fault because it was a few weeks before the tarpon roll through Boca Grande

    If you're out in left field as to what the fish want....and he finds what they want...then communicates and STOPS! = I'd feel good, but if he continues.....aahhhh that does seem to be a little much...

    3/4/13 EDIT: Although I never experienced it when in my teens-20s, so beats me...might have been swinging the other way decades ago...(when the passion for it was there..lol).

    Different industries but the same principle I believe...

    I cook at a private surf camp in the summer (when I am forced to work) and rule number one is, do not go surfing at all unless the customers BEG you to come out. I could only imagine how pissed our clients would be if we were catching waves while they were sitting there bobbing up & down.
