Me and 2 friends hiked up Empire Canyon at Deer Valley/Guardsmans Pass yesterday. We found a slight rollover, some open space, and waist deep powder. The three of us dug dilligently and had a nice big jump in no time. Just looking down off the end of the ramp at the pool of powder awaiting us gave me goosebumps. Frantic hucking ensued. Nothing was landed. Not even close. But the session was epic. Powder is so amazing, it will make growing old worthwhile.
