I have a couple friends who keep pushing Tudor or Grand Seiko. I like them both as well as Omega, but feel like I gotta anchor the collection with the Datejust first.
The cool old heirloom watches are the best. I love seeing something unusual and finding out it was a gift. Spoke with a guy this afternoon that was wearing a Milgauss with a nato strap. It was his dad’s. I saw the lightening bolt second hand and had to ask.
Please explain this site to me. It seems to me that if these are fakes, there should be one digit less in the price tag. If they are authentic, one digit more. The prices make absolutely no sense - and some claim to include "box and papers". ??? https://watcheluxery.myshopify.com/collections/all
Did he have to hide it in his ass for five miserable years?
Sent from my iPhone using TGR Forums
bought a Timex Expedition solar powered analog watch recently
it’s just a watch - no date or anything - it looks better than the computer I wasn’t using and it fits under gauntlet gloves without too much bulk
it tells time
it was $100
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
How's it going to charge under the gauntlets?
I’ve had some expensive watches, but I’m liking my bumble bee seiko dive watch. My explorer 2 keeps shitty time. Plus the whole 800 service every 7 yrs is kinda hard when you have multiple self winding.
bless your heart.
Okay psyco.
So I've had a couple of the solar powered casio' altimeter watches, I never had to wind or change a battery also the time was set by the SAT. going over head in the night SO put it on and forget about the watch for years
With the 1st one the internal battery would slowly run down out as the winter wore on cuz the photo cell couldn't quite keep up but it was possible to recharge under a desk lamp,
the second one must have had updated tech and it went the whole winter until I wasn't wearing gloves
Also in december we would have < 8 hrs of daylight, s

I love mechanical things, but have somehow never been able to get into automatic watches. I like my Citizen Eco-Drives. I have a Promaster diver and a field watch that I wear all the time. They keep perfect time and have held up really well to a lot of abuse. Someday I'll probably give in and get a "nicer" watch, but i have few complaints.
Where else are you going to buy golf gloves in bulk?
White gold sub, very nice.
All my watches are manual/Mechanical.
1942 Elgin my grandfaher bought on way to the UK to work on planes for the Army Air corps in WWII & a 1941 plain mechanical Omega I picked up second hand in NYC with my first bonus check in the 2000s & a Hamilton Khaki Field watch as an everyday driver so I dont bang up watches 30 years older than me
I like being able to know when to scratch my as and when to wind my watch
Seiko pepetual dive
Many Swiss army - I love them but putting a new battery in them and they lose their water tightness. You have to send them to the factory to get the back seal installed properly
Eco drives are probably the best deal for quality and looks and not having to wind or fuck with batteries
