    That second run was very impressive. Almost as if she knew she had to ski 95% instead of the 85% she typically skis at. And she still only had one bobble in there. But she was going so much faster than any other skier at that point that the bobble barely registered in her overall time.

    The idea that she does risk management to prevent injury is very interesting, right now she is faster than everyone but can go even faster. That has to be very depressing for the competition,

    I think it's basically over for her. Her hip just ain't getting better to the place she's really competitive. She should have a long, awesome career post-skiing on the WC though.

    The commentator on the Olympic/NBC channel was talking about her at maybe the last GS (or Super G?) race she was at this year, saying that she was having to use a scooter to get around the athlete's hotel and that it it is looking likely that she is going to need new hips. You could see her limp off the bottom of the track after finishing her run +5 or 6 seconds. She was all smiles and waves though. Self financed right now right? Always liked her and her hips still look good to me. Just from watching her no way do I think she is Olympic material.

    ^^She seems to be finished. I watched her last super g race, she DNF'd i think. But she looked awful. Totally out of whack, either because of her boots, or her body was just killing her. She also looks super skinny. I know she has been training in Maui, just does not seem to be doing any strength training.
    Anyway, chick won the GS gold medal.
    Too bad.
