As I recall... the skiing establishment had very little good to say about Bode Miller. He just laughed and showed them all, there is more than one way to kick serious ass.

It's insane how Bode makes that looks so easy.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

I dont agree that you should get 100 points for a win at the City Events, but thats a totally different topic of Parallel Slalom Vs City Event.
That should be saved for the FIS/Race subform.
Because I think 100 points for a parallel event where there is just one run in the semi's and final's to decide the winner is a bit much.

What about the city event, which is also parallel slalom, but the difference is that in each heat you get to run both courses to advance? That seems fair to win 100 points right?
BUT only the top 12 SL World Cup standings athletes and the top 4 Overall World Cup Standings athletes get invited. Is that fair that the opportunity to win 100 points is only available to the top of the class?

I don't think either event is worth 100 points. Simple enough.

Wow! She’s not just hot, she’s hot in that classy, sophisticated way that seems to be rarer and rarer these days. Her skiing? That girl rips.

So what is the incentive for the athlete to race these events? Prize money alone?

    holy thread drift, batman (!)

Shiffrin reminds me of Ingemar or Pirmin Zurbriggen...

Agreed on both counts. It's like he's mind-fucking the other racers
"Hey, let's see if y'all can do THIS..."

Back on track - Shiffrin is a joy to watch ski. And shows a lot of humility, poise & class in a very public life.

Shiffrin is impressive to watch ski. Fast lady.

It would be impressive to see her step it up when she is done racing and take after some other ski team members and go rip Alaskan spines like the best of them. Straightline Speed Demons like Nobis (just watched The Realm)

Definitely not a PSIA skier, who cares, if it works for her it works. Yeah, you can make a case for teaching PSIA on some mound in PA, but when you take that to bigger mountains that doesn't matter.

That sounds retarded, saying that shiffrin is not a natural athlete.
