Input on Contour's 360 Helmet Mount?

    Has anyone used this?

I currently have a goggle strap mount that I've 3M'd to my helmet with less than desirable results. I'm wondering if there are more stable Contour mounts out there.

    Thanks in advance.

Which of the videos on your site are done with this setup? Maybe all I need is one of those direct mounts..? The 3M'd goggle mount seem to have some play in it, but I can't tell if it's in the mount or the camera-to-mount interface.

for some reason the vimeo badge wasn't working properly there and was showing older videos. thats fixed. all three from this year are with this set up. all the videos last year were with the standard mount plus gorilla glue. In general the helemt camera is pretty stable on the helmet as long as the helmet is stable on your head/.

Mounted mine similarly to powdork, but without the glue - standard adhesive just isn't enough. Took the helmet mount (black circular mount with the velcro - I believe powdork's is the same) and used the standard adhesive to find where I wanted it on the helmet. Once I found the sweet spot, I drilled a small screw through the inside of the helmet into the mount (sunk it into the foam). Doing so allowed me to store the helmet on climbs, play with the angle and remove for download. Just another option. . .

I just use the regular helmet mount with my Contour Roam and haven't had any issues so far. I hated the goggle strap mount personally.

i should add, that the glue isn't there for stability. it's to keep the helmet cam on there in uncomfortable situations

Thanks everyone. I am not prepared to drill through my helmet yet. I think I may try a Profile Mount with some stronger adhesive tape. I'll let you know if it's any different than the 3M'd Goggle Mount.
