X Fusion HiLo 27.2 seat post. anyone have any time on one of these???

Need a 27.2 seatpost. 4" of travel is fine. do not want a GD, want to be able to adjust it to any height.

this seems like a great price point compared to the LEV.

    any reviews of these?

A buddy if mine had one on a Yeti 4cross. The only reason he got it because it was the only 27.2 dropper post. He hated it, it got stuck and he had to mess with all the time. He hated it so much he bought a new frame so he could get a Reverb.

Got about a year out of one. After 6 months or so it developed a squish at the top end that would allow it to sag an inch or so. I found that if I held the trigger and pumped through full travel a couple times it would then be fine for the rest of the ride.

Then I sold it with the bike it was on. The new frame fits a reverb.

    Do it.

read similar stories on other sites. damn it. the LEV is $400. this is for a semi-retired bike.

Oh come on. Treat the old girl to a shiny new toy.

I had one too. It worked well and didn't develop any real play over 1+ years.

I didn't like the clamp. Their 'old' design was like prone to slide and rotate if you landed on it. The new SL has a different clamp that looks to have solved that problem, but it isn't shown in a 27.2 on their website.

I also didn't love the cable actuation. It worked, but there was a lot of drag at the lever.

Have one. Don't use it much because it sucks. Seals failed, customer service was great and they rebuilt it for me, but it still sucks. An inch or so of play maxed out, lots of side to side play. Not worth the hassle. ....but thanks x-fusion for the painless customer service
