Best way to keep the rack marks off your ride?

Every get the marks on your car from the rubber footings of the Yakima/Thule racks out there? Anyone here figure out a ways to keep that from becoming an issue over the course of a winter.

IDK, i'm not a faggot who's overly concerned with my car's exterior appearance. And I use the rack in the summer, so it doesn't come off. And my car never gets more than the occasional hosing off on the outside if there's bird shit on it, or if it's got a lot of dust, and ya know sometimes they put that corrosive shit on dirt roads to help keep the dust down.
I should really clean the inside more, though.

you beaters obviously don't have nice cars like I do, and apparently maskinut does

I use pads that I have custom made from the skin of an unborn goat. Same thing for the skis in the rack. Keeps my stuff from getting scuffed.

I was kinda hoping this was going to be about getting the dirt marks from roof racks off your skis. Not sure which is worse.

Really? I was hoping this was gonna be about bra marks on the latest squeeze and prudence necessary to remove said bra as soon as possible.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Chiming in on the first productive post, but this worked for me great. You can buy small sheets/rolls of clearbra off ebay. It may not be the Clear Bra brand, but it works great none the less. Just make sure you get the area super clean before you apply it.

That has worked for my girlfriend's car as well.

If you can't get the existing marks off... use rubbing alcohol or paint thinner. Works every time.

I just make sure the car and feet are really clean before I put on the rack. Little pieces of clearbra would work good

Am I the only one here who clicked on this expecting to see titties? Shit, I thought this whole thread was about titties - I hate it when my junk gets chaffed from rubbing on some funbags
