    Where are the Maverick's pix?

    Just saw the forecast for s 20' swell... Please tell me (better yet, SHOW me) it's true...

    It's stormy as fuck right now. Doubt anyone is getting anything overhead within 20 miles of here.

    If that. Not sure what forecast you are looking at, but we are in the midst of a storm on the coast. Not exactly surfing weather. Been victory at sea in Santa Cruz for a few days, and while there are a few spots up[ the coast that will do okay in a S wind, Mav's is not one of them. Too exposed. And the local swell is short period, sloppy and not the long period, deep water, ground swell that makes a big wave spot go. I know a few folks have paddled out there this season, but we have yet to get a true Mav's swell, let alone a true big swell of any sort. The first of those usually shows up by the holidays.

    The two spots around the corner were dishing up decent waves, from what I heard. Just got back from the Smokies, digging out trout in 38 degree water. This year in SF has sucked for surfing, so far.
