    Rough day for my Bullit

I destroyed the rear triangle on a sketchy 10 ft drop. The frame went one way and the rear frame decided to go in an entirely different direction causing the aluminium to rip apart at the shock. I don't think SC is going to warranty it either.

What to do What to do. I blame it entirely on the 74 degree weather and not my picture perfect riding style.

For $350 santa cruz will replace a "crashed part of the bike" or just call the 800 # and talk to willie in warranty and he'll take care of you bike. Good luck, be cool, hope you get a new rear.

$350? Damn, they raised the price.

Regardless, L8 is right. Their policy is pretty much no questions asked. You pay the fee (per triangle) and get a new part.

SC will warranty/crash replace, up to $350 as stated.

they can re-powdercoat as well, but it costs a fortune too (relatively speaking) and you have to wait until their coating facility is doing a batch in the color you chose.

I had an '03 Bullit that I sent in for crack detection/warr repair just before it hit its 2 year warranty death. they re-coated it after declaring it cool - because they need a bare frame to check. don't know if they use some fluoro detection or what. anyway, they coated it Matte Orange before they ultimately decided that Matte Orange couldn't hold the SCB decals. so I got a Matte Orange un-decaled Bullit frame upon the frame's return. it's now in one of my buddy's houses where it now lives. see attached pic for what it looked like before I sold it.

I have a Knolly V-Tach coming to me this Spring. will be racing it with the Knolly team in the '05 Squamish Test of Metal.
