If this is a Teton "GRAVITY" Research forum, why are there so many posts regarding xc?

Because gravity takes you down the mountain after you climb to the top.Originally Posted by nowaydude

Hey...it was just a question. No need to get hostile about it. If this is an xc forum thats cool with me. I just dont understand how it got to be that way.
we're all dentists. what do you expect?
If you are wondering where all the gravity is, wait until the summer. It seems like it is a more xc and roadie forum during this part of the year, you know when the mountains are full of snow, but that is because you can still blast many xc trails around town and pedal for days all winter long. Another reason the DH/Freeride isn't as big, is the price to get into it, many people like the idea, but are stuck blasting trails on there xc bikes. The sport is continually growing, so don't lose hope if you are looking for a gravity driven forum on bikes. Keep checking back, cause you never know who is gonna post some sick shit. I recently purchased a digi camera and plan to post tons of sick photos soon, hopefully post some dirt jumping from earlier today a little later. And I know many others that post sick shit when bike season comes back around.
A gay-rage full of toys. You can guess em.
So are you going to go to the ski forum and ask why so many people talk about hiking and skinning UP mountains next?

^^^^ Oooh, snap snap.
Maybe some of us ride XC and DH/FR/DJ, JONG.
Landing gear down and locked, foam pit jump at Ray's Indoor MTB Park. I'll post a TR with pics soon.

You guys going to Ray's tomorrow? When?
It's idomatic, beatch.
Most people will roll in between 7:30 and 8:00. Call the shop ASAP to reserve demo bike(s) if you'd need them. Hope to see you there.Originally Posted by Cornholio

That place looks pretty cool. BTW Fuck the narcissism of small differences. It's all good.

For some of us (ie. the Tahoe mags), mountain biking is not an option right now. There is only one ride I know of that is doable during winter and it's pretty much xc. Right now it's buried in snow. Check back during spring/summer when things pick up.

Not that I care, but I saw a funny letter in some mt. bike mag years ago regarding DH vs. XC. Paraphrasing: "...I go through bottom brackets like y'all go through lady shicks and goo. Now git outa my way!" Cracks me up every time.Originally Posted by nowaydude

if you Tahoe mags want to squeeze some mtb-ing in during this warm stretch...drop me a line. I'm good to go and the trails are great down here.
