    File This Under...

Quite Possibly One of The Most Inspirational Things I've Read In A While.

Forgive the crosspost, but this should be read. I've always wondered how I'd react to losing a foot/leg/arm/etc. If it were to happen, I can only pray to have as much composure as this.

    that is awesome.

there is a dude i see running in licoln park every now and then. both of his legs have been amputated (above the knee, if i remember correctly). unreal and VERY inspirational to see. i can't imagine how much resistance a guy with no legs would have gotten while trying to run again. so cool.

I volunteered for a ski school that helped get people back out on the mountain. Everything from severely disabled kids, to people who had lost limbs. I'll never forget one guy we had, who had a severe stroke. He was completely incapacitated, but totally with it mentally. It was such a joy to see the smile on his face once he was back on the mountain.

Seeing people like the amputee from square one, right after surgery, all the way to going through rehab and getting back to their quality of life is really, really inspiring. Makes one realize how awesome the human spirit is.

That's mindblowing. So unreal what people can overcome if they're determined enough.

This guy's pics are amazing: http://symbiotechsusa.com/
