It's pretty fun to introduce someone to skiing, IMO.

My girl of 5 years skied for the first time this year, and she gets it now.

Much harder to find the right person than to show someone how much skiing rocks. Keep him around, he'll learn.

As we speak he is at the airport trying to negotiate a way to extend his ticket so that he can stay here with me for one more week. I am slowly starting to tell myself that getting him into skiing would be a good test of character for me. I have dated skier boys, and with exception of one, they are all goobers who have caused me more headache than a hard night of boozing.
KQ- I am a true skier girl who's priority is to ski, but he seems to get that. He didn't want to come up here this time of year because he didn't want me to not ski. I came home the other day and he had watched all of my ski movies and was reading my Powder...I think he could get it...Plus, he is so damn cute!!!!! And, my mom LOVES him.

Back to the original point of this thread...If one more person comments on how wonderful this beautiful weather is and that all winters should be like this, I will be forced to resort to violence to cope.

Whatever happened to that offer to give out blow jobs if it started dumping up here?

    2 tablespoons of cinnamon,
and 2 or 3 egg whites,
a half a stick of butter, melted.
Stick it all in a bowl baby,
stir it with a wooden spoon,

I am way past blow jobs for snow. Now I would just kill for rain so that the trails get muddy. The summertime version of a powday isn't sounding so bad right now.

Actually, Girlski was temporarily infatuated with two weatherman in SLC (sorry, RB- it was the 10pm news) that were calling for heavy snow and was ready pony up a bit more than the BJ's - but now I'm getting myself in trouble. I don't feel like getting beat up tonight so I'll shut my hole.

[trying desperately to ignore the blowjob comment] Get your kite gear and hit the Gorge, it's been ripping for a week now. Not what any of us were hoping for this winter but make due with what we got. [/trying desperately to ignore the blowjob comment]

Okay everyone, before the high pressure starts another stranglehold, we've got a small window of opportunity coming up Monday through Wednesday next week. So, This is the time we need to conjure up all those COLD and SNOWY thoughts. Looks as if it will be coming in warm- most importantly need to knock down those temps by at least 5 degrees!

Now, as we said, the forecasting models are still not all in agreement on how and when the dry streak will end, but the general idea is for some light showers to develop on Monday, lingering into Tuesday, with scattered sun breaks in between. Wednesday might actually get a steady rain for a while if one of today's models are correct, with then showers for Thursday. Highs would drop to around 50.

The longer range models are hinting at returning to dry.

*sigh* Blow jobs and snow. Two things I see far too little of. Drinking season indeed.
    Living vicariously through myself.
