Voting MPC #94 FRAMED - poll ends Friday 1:33 p.m. MST

Lots of great entries to choose from. Some just missed the cut. Several were not really framed, but actually used a technique called leading lines to good effect.

Here are the five finalists, which represent some different and creative ways of framing.

    Rogierkoop

    Baddancer

    Geomorth

    P_McPoser

    Shroom

Thanks for the nod! There were a bunch of great shots, I've achieved premature happy-pants feeling just for getting into the voting.

You should probably consult your physician because it looks like it will last more than a week...

    Nice shot, best entry IMHO.

Thanks for the invite to the party.
This one definitely caught me off guard.
Was not expecting this entry to make it. Was kind of shot tongue and cheek.
Shroom did it for me. Awesome shot !!
Thanks for voting everyone, but unless the entire fishing forum comes to my rescue, I may as well let this one go.

    Thumbs up

Okay, poll closes in about an hour, but I'm going skiing, so barring a major change, I think we have our winner.

Geomorph, any shots of the vantage point where you took the photo? Almost a vertigo-inducing feel, and great use of framing to add depth to the image.

The thing I especially like about geo's shot is the multiple frames -- the frame of the foreground rocks, the frame of the valley down below, and the frames of the road edges and lane lines.

Thanks all. I'm away from a real computer right now, so I'll get a new topic up Saturday night or Sunday.

The rock to the left of the frame is where the shot was taken from. It's a severe drop to either side, definitely vertigo-inducing to be up there.

Good old Table Rock. It is a very skinny ridge jutting out into Dixville Notch. I haven't hiked it in a long time so I don't have any digital pics of it.
