    chemistry labs are fun

I love dropping random chemicals together in little wells to see what happens, don't you?

I always knew there was a reason for this forum...

No, in junior high you don't get to work with concentrated acids and flammable reactants.

At least we're doing something mildly interesting now... our first "lab" involved cutting out paper rulers and measuring various boxes.

Why did I have to get sick and puke my way through the AP chem test!?!?

Please post the pic of the huge fireball you made or the acid eating through a snake's face. Those just look like urine samples from the ODB.

LSB, don't you mean 12M HCl. We got to play around with that stuff and 1M today, fun times watching stone countertops fizz up and corrode before our eyes.

being sarcastic dood. In CheE/Chem classes we routinly start with stock solution (18M HCl) and actually are powering a pretty cool little jeep with HCL+Na2CO3 reaction, ill post some pics when i find some.

Ahhhh chemistry, I was pretty good at that shit, would do my homework in class before the teacher would get around to explaining what the hell we were doing it was all so easy and intuitive. Really wish I coulda taken AP last year, oh well it'll be an easy A in college next year.
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care

The guy in these sodium videos bought a huge chuck off ebay, and started throwing it around in his back yard. His website is the first one, and is VERY slow, the second one has some decent download speeds for the videos.
