MRI Results - a whole shopping list of knee issues.
Finally heard the results of my MRI this morning (5 weeks after injury). All I can say is I did a number on my knee, thats for sure:
Complete ACL tear.
MCL Strain.
Segond Fracture.
Complex Radial Tear of lateral Meniscus.
And finally, what my ortho described as the most extensive bone bruising he has ever seen on a tibia (in the MRI, the good bones were black while the whole end of the tibia was light grey). Basically, he thinks the force of the crash was so much that I came very close to shattering my lower leg!
After all that however, the fix is still the same ACL repair with the added task of cutting out some of the torn meniscus while he's in there (its not a fixable tear). All the other stuff will hear itself.
Thems the breaks I guess (or tears in this case).
