Sister-in-law is talking about the nanny they've got to help her out with the twins and mentions that they are only gonna keep her until the kids start sleeping through the night. My sister looks at her straight faced and says, "So you're gonna have a nanny until they're like 12?"

Our little one has always been pretty good sleeping but its always something. Once they quit eating in the middle of the night then they're up sick or they wake up scared or have a bad dream or wet the bed or whatever. I think there's a couple good years in there when they quit waking up because of the little kid stuff but before you stay up worrying about them being out late with friends.

Sam has a major love for bikes like his parents. I'm sad bike season is over, but also VERY excited it started dumping today.
This will be his second season on skis and I'm hoping he'll love it even more! (this was him at 22 months last november)

    Kids are seriously awesome.

He'll be three in January. SUCH added joy to our lives! And lots of tantrums to go with it

Our 4 year old has the same bike as Altachic's little dude. He got that for his 1st Christmas and in the spring when he was around 17 months we started him on it. It's slow at first but before you know it they're scaring the shit out of you as they rocket down the driveway at mock speed with there feet up on the rails. We love the balance bike and I highly recommend over waiting to go the way of training wheels. The kids balance is ridiculous!

Why the hell can't I upload any pictures without getting ?'s.

Got it when he turned 18 months. We just kept it in the house and let him see it and then he slowly began to show interest in it. It seriously helps that he see's mom and dad on our bikes and our love for it, so I think that's why he just loves it already. Plus, he has his dad's crazy athletic genes, so that helps.
His cousin is four now and she taught herself how to ride a pedal bike last month since she had ridden a no pedal bike since she was two. My sis thought she'd have to help her, but she just took off, it was awesome!

We're getting Sam a pedal bike for Christmas, so he can start getting familiar with it by spring. I cannot wait for the day when all three of us can ride out bikes on the trail together! Same way I feel about skiing with him

Jake got all his gear yesterday. Didn't want to take off the helmet. So much fun - and he's only 20 months.

After a childhood and adolescence of ocular dysfunction, migraines, bullying, being called retarded, yanked out of public school, homeschooled, returned to public school at 15, she fought, cried, gritted it out and threw herself whole heartedly into academics.

We supported but it was she who made the choices, stayed up late, did the work and has now graduated with a 3.97/4.0 gpa with lots of AP classes in physics and math. President of the student senate and fought head to head with an autocratic administration (they abolished the senate after her presidency).

She da bomb and she'll rip your head off if crossed.

    Props to her.

Nice job dad! My daughter has mimicked that hard work with a 3.96/4.0 with AP and IB classes in a biology and chemistry focus for med school.

Seeing your children accomplish so much is the best father’ day present I could ask for. She’s at the U now for a two week College of Science Access program she won a scholarship to. She amazes me.

And the younger got the 100k Presidents Scholastic Merit award.

If I had somewhere else to trumpet these achievements, I would, so apologies.

Thanks, but I just watered and fed her, she's the one that chose the fight.
