    KY or Shave?

I pimped my Kahuna's up with some Linkens the other day. But my boots don't seem to be fitting too well. The duck bill don't want to go in very far. Is this common? Do I need to get the KY out and lube it. Or shave my boots a bit? The boots are Garmont Gara, been skiing them on VP II's. The VP II has a toe bail instead of the toe box. Do these linkens just need to have their cherry popped or do I need to get medeval on my boots?

Damn, that's about the squarest and least worn toe sole I've seen in a while.

As you ski on them the boot will work its way in a bit more. Just make sure you have the proper pressure set and then watch it closely for the first few days. With a new set of Linkens and new boots, I find I have to move the heel forward at least one full notch by the end of the first day. After moving it a bit forward everything should stabilize a bit. Just be careful that they are pretty tight to begin with and watch them and you should be fine. Even with a worn toe, the toe of the boot wont go much past the toe bar if it even makes it that far.

Careful, if you shave you'll get the red bumps and it will itch.

I have the same boots and bindings.
Similar fit, she's tight and I'm a hairy bastard.
Maybe I should try the K-Y.
